Denver Broncos Rumors: Von Miller Appeal For 4-Game Suspension Postponed, Can Team Win Against Ravens, Giants, Raiders and Eagles Without Linebacker?

Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller has been having a tough offseason and after news came out this week that he was arrested for an outstanding traffic warrant, his appeal regarding his suspension for violating the league's substance-abuse policy was postponed.

According to ESPN.com, the hearing will not happen this week as it was originally planned and sources said that Miller would have his appeal at a later date. The report says that Miller's case has some complications involved in it and that is the reason why it was postponed. ESPN.com reports that the league and NFL Players Association are working on getting things completed so the appeal can move forward.

Miller's suspension has not been announced by the league officially due to the fact that his appeal is pending and he was missing from training camp on Thursday. Miller has been one of the most important players for the Broncos during his short career, making 30 sacks over the past two seasons and he had his best season in 2012 when he finished with nearly 20 sacks after recording 18.5 in 2012. The team is counting on Miller in the middle of the defense and the suspension could take him out for four game if it is upheld.

The suspension could cost Miller time in significant games, including the opening schedule against the Baltimore Ravens as well as the New York Giants. The other two games include home contests against the Oakland Raiders and the Philadelphia Eagles. Miller is also dealing with an arrest for an outstanding traffic warrant and that stemmed from October when he was charged with careless driving, driving without a license and no proof of insurance.

"We're prepared for any possible scenario,'' Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning said. "That's how you have to be. If you get all wrapped up into one outcome and it doesn't end up turning out that way, you don't really have a Plan B. Today was a good practice on the possibility that he may not be here. If that's the case, that's not going to be an excuse for our team and we have to find a way to do our job. But we certainly hope that he is here.''
