Bayern Munich surprised Real Madrid at the second-leg of Champions League semi-finals, only a day after Chelsea surprised Barcelona.
The first-leg between Bayern and Real Madrid resulted in a 2-1 victory for the German club last week.
Real fans had their hopes up, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring two goals in the first 15 minutes. The Portuguese soccer star converted a penalty at the sixth minute and scored another field goal, assisted by Ozil, on the 14th minute. A 2-0 victory would have allowed Real Madrid to advance to the final.
However, Bayern followed by Arjen Robben converting a penalty at the 27th minute. Now the score was 2-1 for the game and 3-3 draw for the aggregate.
Neither team scored for the rest of the game, including the 30-minute extra-time and the two teams moved on to the penalty shootout.
Bayern's first two players scored successfully, but Real's two most expansive players - Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka - were both blocked by Bayern's goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
Real's Iker Casillas then blocked Kroos and Lahm to keep the club alive while Xabi Alonso scored the first penalty for Madrid.
However, Sergio Ramos completely blasted his chance over the bar, and Bastian Schweinsteiger carefully netted the goal, sealing a 3-1 win on penalty kicks and advancing Bayern to the final stage.
After scoring the final decisive goal, Schweinsteiger ripped his shirt to celebrate.
Bayern will play against Chelsea, who advanced beating Barcelona, on May 19 at Bayern's home. Bayern is also the first team ever to advance to the Champions League final it is hosting.
