The Chicago Bulls are looking to fill out their roster and while some reports have the team looking at Antawn Jamison, another player in Dexter Pittman is hoping for a chance to make the roster out of training camp.
According to Pro Basketball Talk, Pittman is looking to try and make it with the Bulls as one of their guaranteed players after turning down an offer from Europe from the Italian team Sidigas Avellino, instead looking for a spot with an NBA team. The Bulls have made a number of moves this offseason, including adding Mike Dunleavy as a free agent and Pittman could be another addition for their bench.
Derrick Rose should have a nicer supporting cast and Pittman has nice size despite averaging 1.5 points with the Miami Heat and playing in six games with the Grizzlies.
From the report: "Free agent big man Dexter Pittman turned down an offer from Italian Club Sidigas Avellino, a source told Sportando. The center will join the training camp of the Chicago Bulls hoping to get a contract for the coming season."
