The New England Patriots travel to Detroit to face the Lions in one of two Thursday Night matchups on the schedule. The Patriots will look to remain perfect, while the Lions are chasing after their second victory of the NFL season. Can't watch the game? The Patriots are fresh off their 25-21 victory over the Tampa Bay Bucaneers. Danny Amendola led all receivers with 71 yards caught and a touchdown. He opened up the scoring with a 26-yard reception on a pass from Tom Brady. Those two capped off a 15-play, 80-yard drive with the score. They should connect a couple of times during the regular season, if Amendola can stay healthy.

Two worries after this game, Tim Tebow going 1/7 for -1 passing yards and an interception and the somewhat non-existent presence from other receivers. Shane Vereen, a running back, was second with four receptions for 46 yards. However, everybody else's production should increase as Brady will be manning the offense. Of course, he trusts Vereen than the rest of the receivers, so look for Brady to need some time to gel with his new offense.

The Lions dropped their match against the Cleveland Browns, 6-24. Matt Stafford finished 11/16 for 74 yards and Shaun Hill finished 8/11 and 50 passing yards. That's decent. However, Reggie Bush isn't doing much to help the Lions' rushing attack. In fact, Bush had more receiving yards (44) against the Browns than rushing yards (15). The reason why the Lions acquired Bush was to help their running game, but that hasn't happened so far in the preseason.

Through the first two games, the Lions are 31st in football, averaging just 66 rushing yards per game. We know Stafford and Calvin Johnson can put on a show, but if they're the only offensive presence for Detroit in 2013, then this team is once again in trouble.
