Seahawks vs. Packers Score: Live Updates with Play-by-Play and Much More from NFL Preseason Game

Aug 23, 2013 07:26 PM EDT

The Green Bay Packers host the Seattle Seahawks in the historic Lambeau Field at 8 p.m. ET Friday night. Can't watch the game, but want to stay in tune with what is going on? We've got you covered.

The Packers will continue working ont heir running game as Aaron Rodgers will eventually build chemistry with his receivers. Ty Walker, the rookie out of Illinois State, has been the preferred target for Packer quarterbacks this preseason. Walker has six catches for 56 yards. Jermichael Finley, who will be leader of the receiving core, has 85 yards on five catches this preseason. Second on the list is James Jones, who has 61 yards on three receptions.

As far as the Packers' running game, They have James Starks leading the way with 15 carries and 42 yards. Eddie Lacy will look to play a huge part in the offense and so far, he's averaged decent yardage in only one game played this preseason. He has eight carries for 40 yards, which equals to five yards per carry. If the Packers can back Rodgers up with a decent running game, they can once again become a threat in the NFC.

Why aren't the Packers a threat?

Because of teams like the Seahawks.

Seattle has a complete team from top to bottom. They players love their coach, Pete Carroll, they have a super talented quarterback in Russell Wilson and their defense is simply ridiculous. It's only the preseason and the numbers prove this is a fact.

The Seahawks are ranked Top 10 in Points Scores, Points Allowed, Total Yardage and Total Yardage Allowed. They have allowed 10 points per game (2nd), while averaging 35.5 points per game (1st). They have averaged 350 yards per game (10th), while allowing a total average of 260.5 yards per game. If their offense fails, Their defense picks them right up. So far, the team team has nine touchdowns; one rushing, six passing, one on special teams and one on defense. Their defense has only allowed one touchdown despite allowing 31 first downs.

Can the Seahawks continue this successful run through the regular season? We are only two weeks away from the start of the 2013 NFL season, in the mean time, sit back, relax and following the score.
