So after a straight diet of U.S. Open first round action, the official show gets on the road with an Opening Ceremony to remember. Recording artist, produce and rock legend, Lenny Kravitz brings his show to New York where he will entertain fans at Arthur Ashe Stadium and all over the world. Can't be there to watch Kravitz live? Check out the live stream of the Opening Ceremonies as Kravitz, Serena Williams and Roger Federer provide one heck of a show.
It's a blend of art and sports as this trio of performers hit the stage in Queens. Kravitz will perform at the Opening Ceremonies while promoting an upcoming album set to come out in 2014.
Williams, despite losing at Wimbledon, is still considered the game's best Women's Singles player. Some say she could probably play and beat some of the men with her booming serve. She is the defending 2012 U.S. Open champion and of course, if it's opening night, Williams has to highlight the event.
Not being highlighted in the seedings, but sharing the spotlight Monday evening is Federer. He's seeded outside of the Top 5, drawing the No. 7 seed in the 2013 U.S. Open. However, two things have to be pointed out. First of all, Federer; seeding doesn't take away from his popularity. He's like the New York Yankees of tennis, but let's not talk about the Bronx Bombers as the Mets are right across the street from Arthur Ashe Stadium. Secondly, Federer is even more dangerous now, especially since there's no pressure on the Swiss. He's the generation's best player and he's hungry for a championship. Federer has not won a grand slam since 2012 Wimbledon.
Where can you watch the live action? Whether it's for Lenny Kravitz, Williams or Federer, tune into ESPN where they will air the live performance.
