Junior Seau Death: Photos of the Family He Left Behind

Junior Seau died Wednesday at his home in Oceanside, CA from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.

Some members of his family were present at his home in the immediate aftermath of his suicide, including his mother Luisa.

"I don't understand; I don't understand," Luisa Seau cried as she spoke to reporters and others outside the home. "I'm shocked. I appreciate everybody showing your love to my son. Junior never do anything bad."

He is survived by his immediate family, Gina DeBoer Seau, an ex-wife, and their three children, Sydney a 19 year old girl, Jake a 17-year-old boy and Hunter a 12 year old boy.

According to reports, Seau texted each of his children and his ex-wife the day before his suicide. The messages simply said "Love you."

Seau and DeBoer were married in 1991, shortly after Seau broke into the league with San Diego and divorced in 2002.

The three children along with their mother participated in a photo shoot not too long ago that Gina posted on her Facebook page. The images of a happy family are in stark and sad contrast to the tragic news of Seau's death.

In the wake of the news of her ex-husband's death, DeBoer Seau posted a single word on her Facebook wall, "lost..."
