Aaron Hernandez is currently in jail awaiting trial on charges of murder in the death of semi-professional football player Odin Lloyd and after getting an official arraignment date in superior court for next Friday, Rolling Stone magazine released some very interesting details from an upcoming story on the tight end, including that head coach Bill Belichick was ready to cut him.
According to the new Rolling Stone story "The Gangster in the Huddle", Hernandez was having a lot of trouble in his life leading up to his arrest for murder and head coach Bill Belichick was close to cutting him after he missed practices and did "thug-like" stunts. The writer of the article, contributing editor Paul Solotaroff, spoke with a number of people for the story, including former teammates of Hernandez in high school, friends of the family as well as people in the NFL to find out more about the fallen star.
The story will debut later on and some of the other details that came include some bombshells, including that Hernandez was a "heavy user" of angel dust and that the reason he always carried guns with him was because he was paranoid. Other revelations include that both his parents had criminal records and also that his mother Terri allegedly cheated on her husband Dennis with a "drug dealer" named Jeffrey Cummings, who she later married. The cousin of Hernandez is Tanya Cummings-Singleton and she currently is being held after not appearing before the grand jury in the case.

Hernandez was arrested nine days after the body of Lloyd was found less than a mile from his home in North Attleboro shot to death and he was released from the Patriots on the very same day and now the team is dealing with a grievance from the NFLPA about his bonus money. Hernandez was in court last week for a probable cause hearing and his trial is now being moved to superior court, where he will be arraigned on Friday at 2 PM.
Hernandez has been painted as the ringleader in the murder and two other men, Carlos Ortiz and Ernest Wallace, have been arrested as accomplices in connection with the crime. Reports said that Hernandez and Lloyd may have had a dispute at a nightclub that led to the murder, while the Boston Globe wrote that Hernandez may have killed Lloyd for information he knew about his connection to a double murder from last summer in Boston.
Hernandez has not been charged in that crime and police recently found the murder weapon after a traffic accident and the original crime was a drive by shooting that resulted in two murders. The gun in the Lloyd murder has not yet been located and Hernandez's fiance Shayanna Jenkins had a storage unit of hers searched by police.
