The Seahawks have the most complete team in the NFL's preseason. They are averaging close to 30 points per game, second in the NFL. They are eighth in the NFL with 354 total yards, 10th in passing yards with 212.7 and seven with 141.3 rushing yards. Their defense has been even more spectacular. Opponents are averaging only 10 points against them which places them first in the league. That's all you need to know. They are stingy in total yardage as well and giving opponents a tough time getting upfield. The Seahawks are expected to compete heavily against the San Francisco 49ers, who won the NFC West last season. With this defense, they will surely give the 49ers a run for their money.
The Seahawks might not care too much about a perfect 4-0 preseason, but they surely have talented players all over their roster. They defeated the San Diego Chargers 31-10, the Denver Broncos 40-10 and the Green Bay Packers 17-10. Now, they face a Raiders team that isn't expected to be much of a challenge.
The Raiders have an interesting quarterback race going. Unfortunately, they haven't found the appropriate wide receivers to compliment their arms. Terrelle Pryor is vying for a backup job as Carson Palmer will man the QB position in Oakland this year. Matt Flynn is also trying to impress for his new team as he will face the team that employed him last year. Russell Wilson eventually took over his job, leaving Flynn as an expensive backup.
It's the Raiders vs. Seahawks in Thursday Night Football action as we're now one week away from the beginning of the 2013 NFL season.
