Arsenal's Arsene Wenger looks to complete his first big named signing of the summer before the transfer deadline as the club has agreed to sign Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid.
The BBC has reported that the 24-year-old has agreed to personal terms with the Gunners but must first undergo a physical before the deal can be completed.
The move has been supported by Real after the club finally secured the world record signing for Gareth Bale yesterday from the Gunners rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, and now they have been reported to looking to recoup some of the £85.3m they spent on the Welshman.
With Ozil on the way, the Gunners plan to pay outcast striker Nicklas Bendtner £3m to leave the club for Crystal Palace reports the Metro.
The Danish striker has not been in the Gunners lineup for the last two years after falling out of Wenger's first team plans.
A number of clubs have shown interest in acquiring Bendtner, most notably SC Frankfurt and Hull City have attempted to a agree to a deal only to find an impasse with regards to the player's wage demands.
Bendtner currently earns around £52000-a-week at the Emirates and is not willing to settle for a penny less at another club.
