The U.S. Open is moving along through the first weekend and into the holiday on Monday for Labor Day and the tennis world has some of its biggest names playing in Flushing, including Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, who will be playing fourth round matches in Arthur Ashe.

Federer will be the third match in the stadium, while Nadal will be the fourth match on the schedule and he will be playing ahead of Alison Riske and Daniela Hantuchova and then Ana Ivanovic, who will play against Victoria Azarenka in an anticipated fourth round match. Other players that will be in action include Richard Gasquet, Milos Raonic as well as the Bryan Brothers. The most anticipated matches of the day are with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal playing in the fourth round and they could play in the quarters if they both win.

Serena Williams advanced into the next round over Sloane Stephens after previously losing to her at the Australian Open and this time she won easier, taking it 6-4, 6-4 and now the 31-year-old looks like she is ready to win her second straight slam in Flushing. The media played up the drama in the match and it was a solid effort from Stephens, but it wasn't enough to defeat Williams. Serena has been on an amazing run since losing at the French Open and now she has the chance to win the major again.

Andy Murray comes into the slam as defending champion and he won again with some trouble here and there and is now in through to the next round and Novak Djokovic had an easy go of things as well, winning in straight sets during the night session and the two could be on course this time around. Murray dealt with some very hot weather and needed one tiebreaker in the first to win 7-6, 6-2, 6-2 against Florian Mayer and now he advances past the third round and into the fourth, bringing him, Djokovic, Murray and Nadal into the second week.
