The Los Angeles Lakers are heading into a vitally important season in the immediate future of the franchise after losing Dwight Howard to the Rockets and with Kobe Bryant coming back from a serious injury, the team knows that he has to be healthy for 2013-14 to be a success.

Last season was a rough ride with Howard, coach Mike D'Antoni and Kobe Bryant together and former star Antawn Jamison said that the tro lacked trust with each other and that could have been an issue for the club. According to Pro Basketball Talk, Jamison, who signed with the Clippers in the offseason, said during a radio interview that he feels no one can ever count Kobe out, no matter what happens. Despite being 35, Jamison that Bryant has a drive like no player he has ever seen.

Jamison moved locker rooms this offseason in the Staples Center after the Chicago Bulls were also interesting in signing him and despite leaving the Lakers, he said that the team should be very talented this year. Jamison said that it was tough for D'Antoni to deal with the Dwight Howard situation and said that not having a training camp with the team may have had an impact on the way the team played when he took over. The Lakers were swept in the playoffs in four games after losing Bryant and the team never was able to get into a consistent rhythm all season.

Jamison spoke in the interview about playing with some of the best players in the game with LeBron James and Shaquille O'Neal in Cleveland and also about playing with Bryant, saying that he "would never count Kobe out of anything." Jamison said that he has a drive like no one else he has seen and that he could easily see him winning his sixth championship and doing anything that is possible to do it.

Jamison may be on the most talented team in LA now, especially after the Clippers added back Chris Paul and traded for Jared Dudley and JJ Reddick to go along with names like Blake Griffin and Matt Barnes and new coach Doc Rivers. Jamison switched sides and now two of the most interesting teams in the West next season play in the same arena.
