The NBA offseason is starting to wind down and after a flurry of moves, signings and trades on various rosters, it's time to take a look back at some of the most notable deals of the summer and the best ones include the transactions for Brandon Jennings, Thomas Robinson Deal, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Andre Iguodala.

The Detroit Pistons arguable made the biggest move of the summer by trading for point guard Brandon Jennings, as he was a restricted free agent with the Bucks and now gives the team a legitimate star at the position. Jennings was on the market for some time and while many felt that he would work out a deal with the Bucks, a trade was a distinct possibility and now the Pistons have been able to turn themselves into contenders.

Jennings joins a talented roster with Andre Drummond and Greg Monroe and he will be the starting point guard after Brandon Knight went to the Bucks in the trade. Jennings was previously a top 10 pick and he had problems with the Bucks over money and Detroit saw him as a way to help turn things around, especially after he averaged 17.5 points and 6.5 assists last season for the team. Knight was the main piece heading back to the Bucks after averaging 13.1 points, 3.9 assists and 2.7 turnovers over the past two seasons and clearly Jennings is the better player in the deal.

The Pistons could be considered one of the best turnaround teams in the NBA after signing Josh Smith and drafting Kentavious Caldwell-Pope along with the Jennings deal and the team also brought back former star Chauncey Billups as a backup. Jennings is now on a three-year, $24 million deal with Detroit and could develop into one of the NBAs best point guards.

The trade for Pierce and Garnett from the Celtics can obviously be looked at as an NBA landscape changing deal and it likely is even bigger than the Jennings move. The two superstars were dealt to Brooklyn with Jason Terry and it signals the end of the Big 3 era for the Celtics, which produced an NBA title and one of the most successful partnerships in history. Now the two stars will start over with the Nets and they see themselves as title contenders now after making the move.

The Rockets trade of Thomas Robinson was a good move for both Houston and Portland, as the Trail Blazers got a top young talent soon after being drafted, while the Rockets were able to free up space to sign Dwight Howard, their mission all offseason anyway. Robinson was selected as a top pick by the Kings before moving to the Rockets and now he is with the Blazers and both sides are happy.

The Warriors move to sign and trade for Andre Iguodala makes the team a contender in the West and helps add to the excitement that happened when they defeated the Nuggets in the playoffs. Iguodala is an elite defender and solid scorer and the Warriors will be a team to watch in 2013-14.
