Over the past few seasons the Atlanta Falcons have firmly emerged as one of the NFL's elite teams. Last season, they managed to sneak by the Seattle Seahawks and into the NFC Championship game, where quarterback Matt Ryan and the offense couldn't overcome Colin Kaepernick and the San Francisco 49ers.
This season, however, they're clear favorites to take the NFC South ahead of the New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers, despite the Saints and Bucs being labeled as their chief competition.
