Aaron Hernandez will be in Bristol County (Mass.) Superior Court on Friday afternoon for his arraignment in the murder case of Odin Lloyd and after being indicted on first degree murder charges, this is the next step for the former Patriots star and the case and will include various steps as the court session moves on.
Hernandez is appearing in court to give in his plea in superior court and he previously pleaded not guilty to the charges against him and professed his innocence in a letter to a fan from jail. According to ESPN.com, Hernandez is scheduled to appear at 2 pm in court on Friday and this comes two weeks after he was formally indicted by a grand jury for the murder of Lloyd, who was found less than a mile from his home in North Attleboro shot to death.

Hernandez has been in the Bristol County House of Correction since being arrested in connection with the crime and two other men, Carlos Ortiz and Ernest Wallace, have also been locked up as accomplices. Hernandez likely will plead not guilty to the charges since he is fighting the case with his lawyers and one reason he may do it is because his team feels that the case against Hernandez is not very strong. Multiple times the lawyers used the words circumstantial evidence to describe what the state had against Hernandez and it includes text messages, video, shell casings, but no murder weapon.
Speaking of murder weapons, Hernandez is also facing a possible link, but no charges yet, in a separate murder case involving the drive-by shooting of two men in Boston last year. Reports say that Hernandez and the two men, Daniel Abreu, 29, and Safiro Furtado, 28, were at the same nightclub the night they were shot to death and the murder is still unsolved. Hernandez has been linked to the case because of an SUV that was found at his uncles and seized by police that fit the description from that night and also because the Boston Globe reported that Odin Lloyd's death may have had to do with him knowing Hernandez's involvement in that crime.
The report said that a gray or silver SUV with RI plates was where the shots came from and a car of that description was taken from the home after being there for "approximately" a year. The gun in that murder was found after a car accident over the summer and was a match for the gun ballistics found at the crime scene and reports have the two men and a group that Hernandez was in having a disagreement that night at the club, which is called Cure and is in the South End.
Hernandez and his girlfriend Shayanna Jenkins had their home searched extensively and police looked in a storage unit in her name, but the gun in the murder of Lloyd has yet to be found. Hernandez is facing life in prison for the charges and has been denied bail multiple times.
