The Jaguars and the Kansas City Chiefs will be playing in Jacksonville on Sunday in Week 1 of the NFL season in the rare matchup that puts the worst two teams against each other and they could call it the 2-14 bowl and below check out a preview of how the Jags brought in a Tim Tebow like player without the media hype with offensive weapon Denard Robinson.

Tim Tebow is now a free agent and while he had the chance to sign with any NFL team, one franchise that was consistently not interested is one that everyone thought would be the perfect fit in the Jacksonville Jaguars and now the team has gone even further, replacing what he could bring to the roster with another dynamic quarterback from a big-time college.

The Jaguars were consistent since new general manager David Caldwell said in his introductory press conference that he would not look to sign Tebow, "even if he is released", which they continued to do after the Jets cut him loose. Jaguars fans didn't the quarterback any favors either, as one group tried to petition the White House to get President Obama to intervene, while another fam bought up ad space to plead with the team to sign him. Instead, the Jaguars ignored the calls of their fans and went a different way, drafting Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson in the fifth round to join the team as a dynamic wide receiver and running back option.

While many fans wanted Tebow to be the quarterback of the Jaguars, even if he did sign with the team they would want to use him in other positions, much like they are doing with Robinson and much like the Jets said they would use Tebow last season but never did. Robinson was selected with the 135th pick, which came after the Jaguars selected Ace Sanders, who should add another dynamic element to the offense. The team is planning to go with Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne this season and they feel like they can add an extra level to the offense with both Robinson and Sanders.

Robinson has been working out as running back, wide receiver and kick returner for the Jaguars this offseason in OTA workouts and he also lined up at quarterback in some sets as well. Head coach Gus Bradley came over from the Seahawks from the defensive side of the ball and while he said that Robinson will be mostly used as a receiver and running back, the team also could use him out of Wildcat formations as well. Robinson will be on the roster once the season starts most likely, while the team is also bringing in a number of options over camp, including Matt Scott and Jordan Rogers.

Robinson has plenty of experience from college at Michigan after starting 35 games at quarterback and he finished his career at wide receiver and running back after dealing with injuries and also to audition for teams heading into the draft. Robinson has dynamic speed and he completed nearly 60 percent of his passes in college with 49 touchdowns and he also had 42 rushing touchdowns during his career.

Another sign of where the team will use Robinson could be seen in the roster moves, as the Jaguars released special teams star Montell Owens after seven seasons, meaning Robinson could now be the ace player on the unit. The Jaguars went just 2-14 last season and were one of the worst teams on offense and they hope the additions of Robinson and others can add a new element for the team and for quarterback Blaine Gabbert.
