Indianapolis Colts Rumors: Andrew Luck Protection Against Oakland Raiders Gets Owner Jim Irsay Angry On Twitter

The Indianapolis Colts were winners on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders and despite getting the victory, owner Jim Irsay was not totally pleased, as he felt Andrew Luck was not protected the way a quarterback should on game day.

Irsay took his Twitter, where he is one of the most active and funny people in the NFL , to take his team to task after he felt Luck was not given the proper protection on Sunday, saying that the team needs to protect the QB better, including linemen, running backs, tight ends and coaches and he also mentioned blitzes in his post and he clearly was not happy with the way the Raiders were able to get continuous pressure on him on Sunday.

Luck was sacked four times in the game and passed for just 178 yards, although he was able to complete 18 of his 23 passes on the afternoon. Luck threw for two touchdowns on the day and was second on the team in rushing behind Vick Ballard, gaining 38 yards and scoring the eventual winning touchdown. One reason why he ran so much was due to the pressure from the Raiders and the Colts ended up winning the game despite being down and outplayed at various points.

Terrelle Pryor was much better than expected on Sunday and the Colts were more of a running team than many expected them to be as well. Luck showed last season that he has the poise to win after taking his team to the playoffs and now Irsay wants his biggest asset protected.
