This AFC East rivalry will demonstrate the Patriots looking to extend their dominance over the Jets for the sixth consecutive regular-season.
"It's Boston-New York," New England quarterback Tom Brady said. "It's going to be exciting. Hopefully, we can go out on a short week and win the game."
The Patriots are on a 11-game winning streak over teams in the East since a 34-31 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sept. 25, 2011. Since then they've won 12 consecutive division home games during the regular season.
The only time the Jets one a regular-season game at Foxborough was on Nov. 13, 2008.
"If you want to win your division you have to beat (the Patriots)," Ryan said. "It's going to be a huge challenge without question.
"Their team is different now," Ryan said. "But again, it's New England. It starts with Brady."
Although the Patriots have averaged 38.0 points and 419.2 yards over the Jets in their last five regular-season meetings, New York could still hold as a challenge as their defense remains to be in good form. In Sunday's game against the Buccaneers they held Tampa Bay to 250 yards and three second half points in their 18-17 win.
"We've just got to do our job week in and out," safety Dawan Landry said. "Every week's going to be a challenge. We're going to be up for it, though."
