The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are coming into the season looking to get back to the national championship after losing to the Alabama Crimson Tide and now the team will try and rebound from last weekend's loss to Michigan when they visit Purdue at Ross-Ade Stadium on Saturday evening.
The team had a big let down against Michigan last week to end any chances of having an undefeated season after going 12-0 last year and now Brian Kelly has to make sure to get his team back on track against the Purdue team that is also 1-1 on the year after splitting their first two games. Michigan is rising up the top 25 rankings and showed off some prime offensive production last week, making the Irish defense look terrible while giving up over 450 yards. The team stout after allowing just six points against Temple and now they are at 1-1 after losing 41-30 against Michigan.

Tommy Rees has been playing well at quarterback for the Irish and he is coming into the game after throwing for over 300 yards and two scores last week against the Wolverines and Notre Dame's running game will be looking to bounce back after being held under 100 yards and it likely will take a nice offensive night to win the game. Purdue will need a great same from both sides of the ball to have a chance after losing five straight games to the Irish and now they will have a chance to win at home on Saturday night.
The Irish are coming into the game after losing against Michigan and winning against Temple and despite being 1-1, the team has put up some great numbers in the passing game, although the scoring hasn't been as great as last year. The team will play Purdue on ABC at 8 pm and the next game things won't get any easier with Michigan State at home and then the team will play against Oklahoma on NBC and it will be another battle against a ranked team. The Irish always play a tough traditional schedule and after playing the Wolverines last week the team will play against a more ACC schedule rather than Michigan next year and that will be their last matchup for a while.
The team has Arizona State next on a neutral field and then will play the USC Trojans in their traditional matchup and then they will be on the road against Air Force. The team then will play on the road against Pitt before playing two tough games at home against BYU and then they will have a very tough game against number five Stanford on the road to end the season and that game could have national implications.
