The Carolina Panthers and the Buffalo Bills are playing as 0-1 teams on Sunday in the NFL and Cam Newton will be going up against a hot rookie quarterback in EJ Manuel and each side is hoping to leave Buffalo on Sunday at 1-1, especially the Panthers after the start they had last season.
The Bills are coming off an opening loss to the Patriots last Sunday that was the debut for Manuel and he looked very good at times, making a nice throw to Robert Woods and he also has some fans in Stevie Johnson and Scott Chandler. CJ Spiller didn't get much done against the Pats and and Manuel finished with 150 passing yards and two touchdowns and he didn't throw any picks and now he has the chance to play against Cam Newton, who knows exactly what it's like to be a hotshot rookie. The Panthers were done in by their own mistakes last week against the Seattle Seahawks, losing despite playing some solid defense and they also lost a fumble from DeAngelo Williams when they had the chance to score and now they will have to take the most of their opportunities on the road against the Bills.

Spiller is considered one of the top fantasy running backs in football this season and he was held back last week against the Patriots and now he will go up against a tough front for the Panthers that also includes reigning defensive rookie of the year in Luke Kuechly. The Panthers are heading up to Buffalo for an out of conference AFC East divisional matchup for the first time in five years and now they will get the chance to win two in a row up north.
Spiller had a slow start to the season, but that was more about the Bills than Spiller and he should get plenty of chances out of the backfield on Sunday. DeAngelo Williams will be countering Spiller after Jonathan Stewart was injured and he had a solid debut against the Seahawks, rushing for 86 yards and gaining over 100 yards against Seattle and he could get more play out of the backfield as well if the Bills go hard at Newton.
Cam is looking to have a big game on Sunday after being held to just 125 yards passing last week and now he will be playing against a weak Bills secondary, although they played well against the Patriots. Newton is expected to be one of the most productive fantasy quarterbacks this season and he should be able to get back on track against the Bills. The Panthers will play against the New York Giants next week before heading into a bye week and then the team will play on the road against the Cardinals.
The team will then play on the road against the Vikings and home against the St. Louis Rams before heading to Florida to play the Buccaneers. The tough Falcons and 49ers are next on the schedule before playing New England at home on Monday night football and then the team will travel to Miami to play the Dolphins. The team has a tough stretch against the Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints before playing the Jets, Saints and then the Falcons to finish the season and that could have big divisional implications.
The Bills play at the Jets next week before hosting the AFC North Ravens and then the team will continue the divisional tour with the Browns and Bengals before playing the Dolphins on the road. The team will play at the Saints next before playing the Chiefs and then the Steelers and Jets are on the schedule before the bye week. The team next plays the Falcons and Bucs before the Jags, Dolphins and Patriots to end things.
