Thursday Night football will feature the Philadelphia Eagles hosting the visiting Kansas City Chiefs, but more importantly will feature the return of coach Andy Reid.
Reid lead the Eagles to nine playoff appearances, six NFC East titles, five conference championships and a Super Bowl berth, and it is expected that he'll be engulfed with a lot of emotions in his first appearance on the visiting side of Lincoln Financial Field.
However, when addressing the public Reid has been more concerned with preparing his new team to face an Eagles squad that has scored 63 points in just two games.
"In this business you're focused in on getting your team ready to play," Reid told the Chiefs' official website. "That's where my energy is going to go. I haven't really thought about that other part at all. I don't necessarily plan on thinking about that. I want to make sure I concentrate on the game at hand and anything else becomes a distraction and I'm not going to let that happen."
Another highlight of Thursday's game will be the jersey retirement of Donovan McNabb.
McNabb has career stats of 37,276 yards thrown and a career passer rating of 85.6.
Prediction:
With all that's to be going on for the Eagles home game it would be hard to imagine that they wouldn't be motivated to steal one from Reid and the Chiefs. I have the Eagles winning 17-6
