The San Francisco 49ers will look to overcome their struggles in a Thursday Night Football matchup against the St. Louis Rams to kickoff Week 4.
Since their 34-28 season opening win against the Green Bay Packers, the 49ers have looked nothing like the team they were expected to be as they chase for their second straight NFC title. In the last two games they've managed just 461 total yards, turned the ball over seven times and committed 18 penalties while being outscored 56-10 by the Seattle Seahawks and Indianapolis Colts.
"We're not going to hang our heads," Harbaugh said. "Football is not easy, there are struggles.
"We've got some adversity, no question about it. We also have the rare opportunity to stare adversity in the face and whip it. That's our goal."
As for the Rams, they'll want to overcome last week's struggles against the Dallas Cowboys, where they only gained 18 total yards of offense in the first half ending the game with 232 total yards and going 0-for-12 in the third down situations.
Quarterback Sam Bradford has completed 71.1 percent of his passes while going 2-0 at home versus San Francisco, and he's thrown four TDs without an interception in four career games against the 49ers.
Prediction:
The 49ers will bounce back and regain control over their season; 49ers 31- Rams 17
