The New Orleans Saints are back to their winning ways with coach Sean Payton after a layoff for a year last season due to his suspension for the bounty scandal and with him back in the fold, the team is 3-0 and looking for more as the Miami Dolphins come to town on Monday night for the final game of the week on ESPN.
The Saints and Dolphins will get started from the Superdome at 8:30 PM on Monday night and the two teams enter the matchup 3-0, meaning that only one will leave the game at 4-0 to tie other teams for the best records in the league. The Denver Broncos are 4-0 behind the play of Peyton Manning, while the Seattle Seahawks are 4-0 after coming back to beat the Houston Texans on Sunday and the Chiefs are also 4-0 after beating the New York Giants into submission, putting them at 0-4 and probably hopeless.

The Saints started last season 0-4 so they know the Giants' pain and they also know that a comeback is possible, as they did a good job of bouncing back from that last year. Drew Brees will obviously be a big part of what the Saints try to do on Monday night and he has been very productive all season already, passing for six touchdowns this season while also going for over 300 yards in all three games. Apart from the nasty Bucs game in Week 2, Brees is over 60 percent completions in the other two contests and according to ESPN.com, he has passed for over 30 touchdown passes in the last 10 games in the Superdome.
The first game of the season was a nice performance for Brees, as he led the team to the first of two straight division wins and now the team will go for another big victory early in the year. The Saints are ranked third in the league in passing yards this season per game with over 300 and they are ranks second in the league in passing defense per game after being one of the worst last season.
The Saints have a tough stretch coming up after the Monday night game, as they will play two straight road games against tough teams, travelling to Chicago to play Soldier Field and then heading to Gillette Stadium to play the Patriots next. The Saints have a bye after that and then have another solid stretch with the Bills, Jets, Cowboys and 49ers. The team then picks up with a road game against the Falcons and then will play on the road in one of the hardest places in the league when they meet Seattle for their second Monday night game on ESPN against the Seahawks in Week 13. The team finishes the season with two games in three weeks against the Panthers with a Rams game sandwiched in, while the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on the schedule for the final game in Week 17 at home in New Orleans.
