Real Madrid is coming off of a tough loss on Saturday against Atletico Madrid in La Liga play and now the team will get ready for a Champions League match against FC Copenhagen, but the club will be without one of its top stars, as Gareth Bale will be out with an injury and it could be a while before he returns.
According to ESPNFC.com, the €100 million man from Tottenham will be out with a muscle strain after getting injured in the 1-0 loss on Saturday and now he could be out for an extended period of time and that could mean trouble for Real Madrid. The club will rely on Cristiano Ronaldo to pick up the slack and in La Liga this year he has 60 shots, six goals and an assist in seven games.
The report says that the team is still looking into the thigh injury and that more information will come out when more testing is done on the injury. Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti said that Bale will return when ready and the team did not say when that could be after he played half the game on Saturday. But he missed practice this week while preparing for the match on Wednesday and now the club will be without his services after a long and dramatic summer.
The report says that Bale will be working on getting healthy for big matchups coming against Juventus and Barcelona in different league play and that will be important for the team after falling on Saturday. Rumors have already started to go that the team could go after another player at the next transfer window, but it remains to be seen how long Bale will be out of action.
