Bryant McKinnie Trade Rumors: Atlanta Falcons Interested After Baltimore Ravens Sign Eugene Monroe? Ozzie Newsome Explores Deal for Left Tackle

Bryant McKinnie's future with the Baltimore Ravens has always been a little shaky. Often accused of not being in game-shape, the left tackle fought for a new contract in the offseason before eventually re-signing with the Ravens. However, he has to earn any of that new deal and as Baltimore makes deals to improve the offensive line, McKinnie could find himself on the trade block.

The left tackle reported to training camp over his prescribed 346 pound target. Since then, his weight has not dropped and the Ravens are unhappy as his production is a reflection of that. Currently four games into his new two-year, $6.3 million deal, McKinnie has allowed one sack and 10 quarterback hurries onto Joe Flacco. He has struggled in run blocking and is looked at as a lost cause by Baltimore.

The Ravens are currently finalizing a deal for Eugene Monroe from the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is expected to take over the left tackle position. This leaves McKinnie either on the bench or traded. The Baltimore Sun reports the Ravens are currently shopping McKinnie around to other teams as the tackle market has heated up with early injuries.

McKinnie is likely not worth anything more than a late-round draft pick, but there could be interested teams. Injuries have hit hard through four weeks in the season. The Atlanta Falcons could really be interested if they can make the right deal.

The Falcons knew their offensive line would be the biggest question mark in their season and so far things have not gotten better. They lost Mike Johnson in the preseason. Lamar Holmes took over and has proved to not be a worthy replacement. Left tackle Sam Baker is suffering from a knee injury that caused him to miss one game and leave the New England Patriots matchup early. He could possibly be out for the Jets game and beyond.

Right now, the Falcons added Jeremy Trueblood as a starter, opting to bench Lamar Holmes. The line will be doing plenty of shifting thanks to injuries. McKinnie might not be the best option, but he is likely better than what the Falcons are working with now.

Ozzie Newsome is reportedly pushing the Miami Dolphins to consider the left tackle. Ryan Tannehill currently leads the league in fumbles and sacks. Being a team on the rise, they might consider making a deal. All signs point to McKinnie's time in Baltimore being over. It is just a matter of which team grows desperate enough for a deal.
