Take 21.

After 20 games played in 2013, the Cardinals and Pirates are tied 10-10. The Pirates will have to win Game 2 and their hopes are looking up as they have handled Lance Lynn, the Cardinals' Game 2 starter, pretty well this season.

Despite posting a 2-1 record against the Pirates, Lynn has a 5.60 ERA in five starts against them in 2013. The Cardinals' offense helped him win the first meeting, where Lynn went five innings, allowing four earned runs. Then it was all Lynn in his second start as the righty pitched seven innings of one-run ball. The team could not back Lynn up in another one-run performance, this time six innings pitched with seven strikeouts and three earned runs.

In his last two starts combined, Lynn allowed 11 earned runs in 9.1 innings pitched. The Cardinals managed to split those two games, but the Pirates will come into Game 2 feeling fairly confident. Lynn places the ball over the plate and the Pirates' sluggers can make him pay if he commits a mistake.

The Cardinals will be facing a talented young pitcher as Gerrit Cole takes the mound for the Pirates. They have yet to see the 23-year-old, so who knows what to expect from the Pirates' No. 1 pick in 2011? He finished the 2013 season with a 10-7 record accompanied by a 3.22 ERA.

First pitch will be a little after 1 p.m. ET.
