TV Channel- Where to Watch? NBA TV
Lucky are those who have NBA TV. Those who don't, will have to watch the replays in their local news or ESPN. The Lakers and Warriors, to of last year's Western Conference Playoff teams, go head-to-head as they will flash their talent in an exhibition meeting.
These organizations are going through different stages. The Lakers, one of the historic franchises in the NBA and in American sport are not the superpower they were in the 00's. Following the Chicago Bulls' control in the 90's, Kobe Bryant and the Lakers picked up five four rings from 2000-2009, dominating a new era in basketball.
Back then, the Warriors needed something inauspicious to occur in the locker room in order to get some attention. However, after acquiring David Lee and three-point sharpshooter, Stephen Curry, their fate began changing. With Mark Jackson at the helm, (no, not running the point) coaching for the Warriors, he brought attitude and a game plan that saw them push the San Antonio Spurs to six games and possibly a Game 7 had they been able to close out games.
The Warriors have fresh faces and young talent. Harrison Barnes proved clutch and Clay Thompson produced big time at certain points during the postseason. This young group of guys can create havoc if they continue making postseason appearances. They are gaining experience and once a team makes it to the postseason, they only become hungrier.
The Lakers, well, they are dealing with injuries. Bryant's career is in question entering the season, though management and guys like Pau Gasol and Steve Nash seem pretty confident in their ability to compete in the West.
It's only the preseason, but this should be an interesting test for the Lakers. As they age, they make room for young talents like the Warriors to surface and bring fresh competitive faces to the game.
