The Colts are coming off a comfortable win over the Jacksonville Jaguars and the addition of Trent Richardson will only make their victories even more comfortable. Richardson did not have an amazing game, but he did wind up in the end zone. He went for 60 yards in 20 carries. Donald Brown, however, took full advantage of his time out on the field, going for 65 yards on three carries.
With Brown, Richardson and the contributions made by a then healthy Ahmad Bradshaw, the Colts are averaging 150 rushing yards per game, fourth in the NFL after the first four weeks of the season. This is good news for quarterback Andrew Luck as the team is 24th in the NFL with 223.5 passing yards per game.
The Seahawks provide a potent offense as well, but the team will need their defense to show up if they want to remain perfect in 2013. The Seahawks average 27.2 points per game, but that's not all from the offensive end as the defense chips in, giving the team great field positioning. The Seahawks have the fifth best running game, right behind the Colts, averaging 144.2 yards per game.
Though the focus seems to be the offensive players, both teams bring dynamic defenses to this ball game. However, both teams struggle playing run defense, so it will be interesting to see how that affects the final score of this ball game. The Seahawks' defense allows 11.8 points per game, second fewest in the NFL, while the Colts are allowing just a point higher, 12.8 points, per game, good for fourth in the NFL.
