The St. Louis Cardinals advanced to the National League Championship Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers after a complete game win for Adam Wainwright against the Pittsburgh Pirates in the NLDS Game 5 on Wednesday and they advance after a 6-1 win powered by homers from Matt Adams and World Series hero David Freese.

The Atlanta Braves couldn't stay alive and the Los Angeles Dodgers won off a home run while the St. Louis Cardinals tied the NLDS at 2-2 after a nice game and now the Pirates and their division rivals are tied up for Game 5.

The MLB playoffs are in full swing and with both National League Division Series at 2-1 with the away team taking advantage early, the postseason could have some early upsets, as the St. Louis Cardinals and the Atlanta Braves are down as their postseason matchups move to Game 4.

The Dodgers won 13-6 against the Braves on Sunday night to push their series lead to 2-1 and they won their first game in Los Angeles of the series and now could finish things off in Game 4 before a return to Atlanta. The Braves took an early lead, but the dodgers never stopped scoring and they were able to get three hits from both Hanley Ramirez and Yasiel Puig and the two stars also added three runs each to help their team to a victory.

The team rebounded from a 4-3 loss to the Braves in Game 2 and now the team has the advantage as Game 4 will matchup up Ricky Nolasco against Freddy Garcia in what could be a deciding matchup. Carl Crawford had a very solid game and Chris Capuano ended up getting the win for the Dodgers, who kept the Braves off the board from the third to the ninth inning and now they have the chance to advance to the National League Championship Series.

The Pirates lost the first game of their series, but they have won two in a row now and the team is in position to advance over the Central champs with a win in Game 4 at home. The Cardinals were one of the strongest teams in the NL this season, but after the 5-3 win for the Pirates, the team is just one victory away from making it to the National League Championship Series and that would be amazing after the team spent 20 years without making the postseason or even having a winning record.

Pedro Alvarez broke the tie in the game and Jason Grilli continued his success on the mound, getting the save for the Pirates. The team is looking to win its first series in over 25 years and the team will have to face off against rookie Michael Wacha for the Cardinals next with the series no 2-1 in favor of Pitt. Francisco Liriano started the game for the Pirates against Joe Kelly and now the team has the chance to advance.

David Price was shelled by the Red Sox and he went off on Twitter after pitching in Game 2 on Saturday, as the team is now down 2-0 and he went after the broadcasters for the game, calling them out as "nerds" he later apologized and many mocked him on Twitter for his rant, which came after two home run from David Ortiz and now the Red sox can clinch as well with another win.
