76ers Rally, Tie Series 2-2

May 19, 2012 11:35 AM EDT

With  8:44 left in the first half on Friday night's game, the 76ers found themselves in a 0-14 hole. The Celtics had scored 14 unanswered points in the first minutes of the ball game. They kept trying to fight back, but by the half they were down 46-31.

The 76ers did not give in and with 9:49 left in the fourth quarter, they took the lead on a Jodie Meeks three pointer. What many would consider a Celtics debacle, others would not hesitate to credit the Sixers for staying in the game.

A veteran team like the Celtics should not be rendering 15 point leads, but if the Sixers would have given up, the series would be heading back to Boston 3-1 in favor of the Celtics. The Sixers used their youth and speed to force 17 turnovers, seven of which came from the hands of Kevin Garnett, who only had nine points.

The Sixers defensive could not stop Rajon Rondo as he had 15 assists with 15 points and Paul Pierce had 24 points, but nobody else stepped up for the Celtics.. They were outscored by the Sixers 61-34 in the second half.

Five Sixers were in double digits with Andre Iguodala and Evan Turner leading the way with 16 points each. They will try to stay hot in Boston Monday night for Game 5.

Momentum has clearly shifted towards the Sixers, but look for the crafty veterans of the Celtics to come back and take the series lead.
