The New York Giants are absolutely embarrassing and fans are sick of the Eli Manning interceptions and the terrible play and now the team is 0-6 with no hope in sight and this is just terrible and now people are calling for the firing of Tom Coughlin, which while it would be the wrong decision, doesn't seem so bad right now.
The team had a chance to come back and win the game, but of course Eli Manning threw another pick and that was his third of the night and now the team is pathetic and they do not deserve any fans cheering for them. People that live and die by the Giants are embarrassed and depressed and they do not deserve the way this team is playing. Something has to change, and while benching Eli and firing Coughlin won't change much, something needs to be done because this is beyond pathetic.
The team was only two games out of the division even after starting 0-5 and they couldn't even get this done because they are embarrassing and pathetic. They ran the ball well but that didn't matter and the team is just a mess and something needs to be done! What can be done? Nothing can change this start, but the team must win on MNF next week against the Vikings.
It's amazing to think that just two years after winning the Super Bowl the team could be talking about a coaching change, but that's life in New York and that's life for an 0-5 team in the NFL. The Giants, by the way, have the same record as the Jacksonville Jaguars this season. Just saying. It wouldn't be surprising if the Giants fired Coughlin, but it would be shocking, as they are a team that doesn't seem like they will change horses in midstream.
The New York Giants are not a knee-jerk reaction team and are not a franchise that is swayed by newspaper headlines, but with the club 0-6 heading into their Thursday night matchup against the Chicago Bears, could the team think about firing Tom Coughlin if they fall to 0-6?
The season did not get started off well after the team turned the ball over six times against the Dallas Cowboys and things did not get much better the following week against the Denver Broncos, losing that game 41-23. The next week was an absolute embarrassment with a 38-0 shutout by Carolina and the last two weeks have not been much better with losses to the Chiefs and Eagles.
On top of that, the Giants should also realize that the reason the team is 0-5 is not all Coughlin's fault, although some of the blame of course rests on his shoulders. The offensive line is terrible, the defensive line can't get pressure anymore, the running game is nonexistent and Eli Manning doesn't have time to throw, which is why he already has over 10 interceptions this season. Jerry Reese is a very good general manager, but he has not built this team well, as David Wilson has been ineffective and is out with an injury, while the lines are filled with players not performing up to their talent level.
