Fantasy Football Start or Sit Week 6: Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Darren McFadden, CJ Spiller and Andre Johnson Players For Bench or Bust

Oct 13, 2013 10:18 AM EDT

The NFL schedule is into week 6 and with a number of great games on the schedule there are plenty of fantasy football players to watch out for, including Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Darren McFadden, CJ Spiller and Andre Johnson, who are all dealing with some injuries.

Johnson missed last week and he is expected to be a gametime decision for the team and the Cardinals will be careful with Larry Fitzgerald. Both are game time decisions so they are soft starts for Sunday. Darren McFadden and Stevan Ridley are questionable and CJ Spiller likely will play but is on the injury list as well and they are all players to watch on Sunday.

One of the most exciting games of the weekend is expected to be the Patriots and Saints in one of the later afternoon games and that will have a number of great players, including Jimmy Graham, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, LeGarrette Blount, Darren Sproles and Danny Amendola, but there isn't expected to be any Rob Gronkowski, as he has not been cleared to play. The anticipation of matching up the two best tight ends in the league now likely will not happen, as Gronk will reportedly miss this game as well.

The Patriots have had some issues on offense this season while dealing with injuries to Gronk and Amendola and while Brady has had a nice season with over 1,200 yards passing, he has just seven touchdowns and it should be a good battle with him and Brees. Blount is currently leading the team in rushing with Stevan Ridley banged up and he has 206 yards and one touchdown and is averaging an impressive 4.5 yards per carry this season and he could continue getting carries this week.

The team has gotten some great play from Julian Edelman while Amendola has been out and Kenbrell Thompkins has been solid as a rookie and now the PAtriots will matchup against a much improved Saints defense this season. The team is 5-0 this year and they will be focused on Edelman, as he is leading the team with 36 receptions for over 350 yards and two touchdowns and Brady will be hoping for a quick return from Gronkowski.

The Saints have a high powered offense with Drew Brees and he already has over 1,700 yards and 12 touchdowns and Graham has been the biggest recipient, leading the team in a number of categories. The team doesn't have much of a running game, but Darren Sproles is like a receiver out of the backfield and Pierre Thomas has been better in recent weeks. Brees has plenty of weapons to use, but his best is Graham, who is putting up video game numbers with 37 catches for nearly 600 yards and six touchdowns this season. He has been better than nearly every receiver and chances are he will be getting plenty of looks on Sunday.

Another interesting game to look at is the Denver Broncos and the Jacksonville Jaguars, as Peyton Manning and his team are historic favorites and that could mean some big numbers all around the offense, especially from Manning and his receivers. The team has too many weapons for the Jacksonville defense to handle, including three receivers that could be number ones on other teams, including Wes Welker, Eric Decker and Demaryius Thomas and tight end Julius Thomas has been excellent with Manning as well.
