Dodgers, Cardinals Playoff Schedule: Channel, Game Time as St. Louis Looks to Clinch in Game 6

Oct 18, 2013 11:25 AM EDT

The 2013 NLCS is back on Friday evening as the St. Louis Cardinals host the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 6. The Dodgers will have to win to stay alive as the Cardinals can clinch the N.L. Pennant with a victory. Here is all the playoff schedule information you need to stay in touch with the action as the Dodgers and Cardinals will have two of their best postseason pitchers on the mound.

Game Time: 8:30 p.m. ET

TV Channel: TBS

Radio: ESPN Radio

It should be one of the playoffs best pitching matchups as Michael Wacha and Clayton Kershaw hook up in another battle. The pitchers first met in Game 2 of the NLCS where the 22-year-old defeated the 25-year-old as the Cardinals pushed one run across the plate for the win. It was Wacha who out-pitched the future two-time Cy Young Award winner Kershaw.

Based on their playoff pitching performances in 2013, this should be another remarkable game and who knows how dominant this guys can be? Maybe we can see another possible no-hitter like the Detroit Tigers' almost pulled it off against the Boston Red Sox in Game 1?

Hypothetically speaking, if the Cardinals win the NLCS, Wacha should be a top candidate for MVP. He is posting ridiculous figures in 2013 and if he repeats this effort in Game 6, then there is no doubt he should take the award. Wacha went 6.2 innings of five hit baseball, with one walk and eight hits. He currently possesses a 0.64 ERA in the 2013 postseason and this is his first year pitching in October in first season ever in the majors. That is pretty special.

However, Kershaw might make his last start of the season and you better believe he will want to be remembered as the best pitcher this year. The Dodgers are 2-1 when he takes the mound this postseason . If Wacha's numbers look spectacular, then you might want to sit down for Kershaw's totals through the 2013 playoffs. In his three starts, Kershaw owns a 0.47 ERA, allowing one earned run in 19 innings pitched with 23 strikeouts. Opponents have scored three unearned runs against him, but there is only so much Kershaw can do.

Both the Dodgers and Cardinals have proved their offenses are capable of having big games, but today, it should be all about the pitchers. Kershaw is the more reliable pitcher since he has done it for a longer time and Wacha seems to be going through an extended period of beginners luck.

Do not miss Game 6 and return to Sports World Report during game time at 8 p.m. ET as we provide radio stream and live stream options for this game.
