Oct 18, 2013 07:30 PM EDT

Teddy Bridgewater couldn't hit on a hail mary at the end of the game as Central Florida was able to make a comeback from 28-7 down to win on Friday night as Louisville ended their undefeated season.

The Louisville Cardinals are one of the best teams in the nation and now that they are ranked in the top 10 of the AP Top 25 at number eight, they have to put their 6-0 undefeated record to the test against UCF in a Big East matchup on ESPN Friday College Football at 8 PM with streaming on Watch ESPN.

The Cardinals have been one of the most consistent teams in the nation this season and they have won their past three games by a combined score of 126-17 and are the top ranked team in scoring defense with less than 10 points per game, averaging just 7.3 points allowed per game. The team is scoring in bunches on offense with over 40 points per game and the team is averaging over 500 yards per game. Teddy Bridgewater continues to be a Heisman candidate and the team is already 2-0 in the Big East after defeating Temple and Rutgers.

Bridgewater has been playing very well this season and he already has 1872 yards passing and 18 touchdowns with just two intentions and he has had only six sacks this season. Bridgewater has been very accurate this season, completing over 70 percent of his passes and he only been under that number in two games this season. Bridgewater opened the season with a five touchdown game against Ohio that saw him go for 355 yards passing and after tossing one pick in that game, he did not have another interception until the Rutgers game last week.

Bridgewater has had at least four touchdown passes in three games this season and he has only had one game without throwing multiple TDs and he should be in line for another big game on Friday. Bridgewater has passed for eight touchdown and one pick over the past three weeks and now he will take on a UCF team that is 4-1 on the season.

Louisville will play on the road for two games against South Florida and UConn after the UCF game and then they will play home against Houston. The team then plays Memphis and Cincinnati and that game could be is what between an undefeated season for Louisville and the disappointment of losing one game. Going undefeated is their only ticket to the BCS, as they have now faced a ranked opponent this season and playing in the Big East has not done them any favors when being compared to other conferences.
