The Red Sox surprised many in Game 5 at Comerica Park. After Anibal Sanchez no-hit the Sox through six innings in Boston, striking out 12 in Game 1, he could npt repeat this performance on Thursday. The Red Sox quickly jumped on him, getting a hit in the first inning and then finally scoring in the second inning after a Mike Napoli solo home run to center field.

Napoli is carrying the team after hitting his second home run of the series. He finished that game 3-4 and two runs scored.

The home run has been key for the Red Sox in this series. When David Ortiz hit his grand slam, the Red Sox won. When Mike Napoli went deep in Game 2, scoring the only run of the game, the Red Sox won. Then in Game 5, another one-run ball game, when Napoli went deep, the Red Sox won. There's a pattern here aside from the power, Napoli has scored two of the three-game-winning runs in the Red Sox's three wins. Does somebody smell MVP award winner if the Red Sox win this series?

Jim Leyland will have to find a way to mix some more magic in his batting lineup. The Red Sox could not combat the creative lineup Leyland put together in Game 4. However, good pitching over a dynamic defense any day. Jon Lester shutdown the same lineup that hammered Red Sox pitching for seven runs on Wednesday, tying the series 2-2.

Do not miss this must-watch Game 6 as the Red Sox could clinch a spot in the World Series where they would face the 2013 N.L. Champion St. Louis Cardinals. The Fall Classic is set to start a few days from now, but the Red Sox would prefer to clinch early since they will already be at home and they have a chance to relax. Howevery, Scherzer is no piece of cake.

It's Scherzer vs. Clay Buchholz in Game 6 of the ALCS.
