The two men accused of attacking a San Francisco Giants fan outside Dodger Stadium will both face federal weapons charges. Marvin Norwood and Louie Sanchez, arrested last year for the attack, will also face charges of being a felon and possessing a firearm. If found guilty, each could face up to 10 years in a federal prison.
Brian Stow, 43, a paramedic and father of two, was leaving Dodger Stadium wearing a Giants shirt following the Dodger-Giant game on opening day. It was in the parking lot that he was brutally attacked. Norwood and Sanchez are accused of repeatedly punching and kicking Stow. The attack left Stow with brain damage.
Norwood and Sanchez were both charged with felony assault and mayhem following the attack. The new federal charges are the result of searches done at the defendants' homes before they were arrested.
Stow is still recovering from his injuries.
