The Barclays Premier League had another exciting weekend of matches and with Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton all winning, one of the top matches came on Sunday after Tottenham won 2-0 over Aston Villa and a strong showing from the Hotspurs.
According to ESPNFC.com, Andros Townsend and Roberto Soldado scored for Tottenham and the club was coming off of a disappointing 3-0 loss in their last Premier League match against West Ham United and now they will prepare to play against Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League first round and then they will play against Hull City in the Premier League and Capital One Cup.
Some of the other scores from the weekend includes Newcastle United and Liverpool in a 2-2 draw, Arsenal and Norwich City with the Gunners at 4-1, Chelsea winning 4-1 against Cardiff City, while Everton won 2-1 over Hull City. Manchester United and Southampton pulled a 1-1 draw, while Manchester City won 3-1 against West Ham United, Swansea City dominated 4-0 over Sunderland and Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion went 0-0.
The table in the Premier League has Arsenal at the top with 19 points ahead of both Liverpool and Chelsea and they are just above Manchester City and Tottenham, who are tied at 16. Behind them are Southampton, Everton, Manchester United and Hull City, while Newcastle United is in 10th just ahead of Swansea City, who is tied up with West Bromwich and Aston Villa.
