The New York Knicks have been away for the preseason with all the work going on at Madison Square Garden and while the team has won just two of five games, they have looked better than many expected and now the squad will take on the Milwaukee Bucks at the Resch Center in Green Bay for an NBA preseason game starting at 8:00 pm with TV coverage on the MSG Network.
Carmelo Anthony returns to the team after winning the scoring title last season and he comes in with some uncertainty, as the Knicks know that he can opt out of his deal after this season just like LeBron James and while the team thinks that he will be staying in New York, nothing in the NBA is guaranteed. Anthony has stayed mostly away from rumors about his impending free agency, although he did say in an interview that being a free agent is something that he has dreamt about and is something that he would like to do someday. Anthony has high expectations for himself and for the Knicks this season and Mike Woodson feels that they have put together a championship roster that can win a title.

The Knicks won 54 games last season to take the Atlantic division and now they come in after ranking in the top 10 in scoring defense and with the addition of Metta World Peace and Tyson Chandler back healthy, that number could be even better and so could the rebounding, which ranked 26th in per game averages last season. The team was 11th in scoring with triple digits, but that shouldn't be an issue again, while the assists were a problem last year but that also could get better with depth at the point guard position.
Anthony is coming back after dealing with a shoulder injury last season and now the bucks come into the preseason game with an 0-5 record. The Knicks opened their preseason with a game against the Boston Celtics that they won before losing two straight to the Raptors in Toronto and then against the Celtics in a blowout which is their only win of the preseason. After a win over the Wizards in Baltimore, the team lost in overtime against the Wizards and now they will play against the Bucks before playing against the Bobcats to finish the schedule.
The Knicks have the first regular season game against the bucks again and then they have a very anticipated matchup on the road against the Bulls in Chicago in a game that will be on TNT and that comes before a game against the Wolves and then two against the Bobcats before playing the San Antonio Spurs. After games against the Hawks and the Rickets they play the Pistons and then against the Indiana Pacers, which should be a very good matchup after Indiana added some strength and depth in the offseason. The game on Wednesday night will start at 8 pm and the Knicks will be visiting the Bucks in Green Bay.
