The match on Saturday between Real Madrid and Barcelona is an anticipated one and one player that hopes he will be ready to go is Real star Gareth Bale, who has been dealing with injuries since his record transfer from Tottenham and now it's possible that he could be limited in the very anticipated game this weekend.
According to ESPNFC.com and Sky Sports, Bale said that his fitness for the match is not quite where he wants it to be and that he is "not too sure" about it heading into the matchup, meaning he could possibly be brought in as a sub rather than in the start8ing lineup. Bale said that he would be willing to start despite his fitness level if coach Carlo Ancelotti wants him to and he also said that he hopes he can be fit enough even if he doesn't start the match.
Bale said he is excited for the "amazing" experience and that it is out of his hands whether he will start or sub for the matchup at Camp Nou. The game is expected to be the most anticipated of the weekend and Bale comes in after playing in just under 30 minutes as a sub in the victory on Wednesday in the champions League against Juventus and that gives him the chance to get ready for Saturday.
Bale has been limited since his move, playing in five games but only 170 minutes and now Saturday will be a big test for him.
Bale spoke to Sky Sports:
"I am not too sure, I have had a few minutes this week and I have had a good week's training as well," Bale said. "So I think I am fit enough. It is up to the manager now whether I play from the start or am on the bench."
