The Miami Heat are coming into the NBA season as prime targets after winning the past two championships and they will open the season with a game against the Chicago Bulls and Derrick Rose on TNT on Tuesday at AmericanAirlines Arena for the season opener when they raise up their title banners.
The Heat have added some new players and brings back LeBron James looking for a three-peat and the game will be on TV on TNT starting up at 8 pm for the primetime showdown and is one of three games to open the schedule on Tuesday before the rest of the NBA gets going on Wednesday. The team is coming off of a loss to the Brooklyn Nets in the preseason from their final matchup and after playing against the Bulls at home, the team will go on the road to play against the Philadelphia Sixers.
The Bulls will be the top opponent in the east most likely with the Indiana Pacers, New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets also putting up a fight and all those teams will be gunning for the Miami Heat this season. No one has been able to beat the Heat yet and with the return of Derrick Rose, they should be even tougher and the team also added Mike Dunleavy to the mix. The Knicks added Metta World Peace and other players, while the Nets pulled off the biggest trade of the offseason and the Pacers also added more with Luis Scola and bringing back David West. The team will get their rings and as ESPN notes, the team is 1-1 in games opening the season after getting their rings and now LeBron will try and make it 2-1.
The team comes back with a top five scoring offense and defense from last season and has added Greg Oden to the mix and with LeBron looking very good in the preseason, the Heat should be tough again. The team was top 10 in assists and 30th in rebounding, but that was more about their record and the fact that they hit a ton of shots and now they will get an early test against the Bulls.
The Heat open with Chicago before heading to play the Sixers and then the Brooklyn Nets and that game will be an NBA Friday presentation on ESPN and Watch ESPN and that comes before games against Washington, Toronto and then the Los Angeles Clippers, which will be on TNT as well. The team them plays three at home against Boston, the Bucks and the Mavericks and then will hit the road for the Bobcats before coming back against the Hawks. The team then has a home and home with the Magic before playing the Suns and then the team heads to Cleveland and when LeBron plays the Cavs there it's always a big deal and this will be another one.
