The Seattle Seahawks and the St. Louis Rams are playing on Monday night football in Week 8 and as that game is going on at the Edward Jones Dome, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Boston Red Sox will be playing the World Series down the road at Busch Stadium and some fantasy players to start and sit on MNF includes Zac Stacy, Marshawn Lynch, Percy Harvin, Steven Hauschka, Golden Tate and Russell Wilson as well as Jared Cook.
Zac Stacy and Jared Cook are literally the only players worth starting against the Seahawks, while Marshawn Lynch, Steven Hauschka, Golden Tate and Russell Wilson are all solid starts against the Rams. Percy Harvin is a SIT and BENCH player for Monday, as he is out for the game and his return is not expected until Week 9 at least. Harvin will be a prime fantasy option, but not yet this season for the Seahawks and that makes Golden State a START option for the team, as Russell Wilson has looked at him as the prime target with Harvin off the field and Lynch is a START option as well against a depleted Rams team.
Stacy and Cook are only start options if the team can get some points on the board and that could be tough with Sam Bradford getting injured and now he is out for the season. Stacy is the only running option for the team after the terrible season for Daryl Richardson and now the Rams must rebound from the loss of their quarterback. Stacy has taken over the starting spot and he has been solid out of the backfield for PPR owners, making six catches over the past two weeks and he caught all four of his targets last week against the Panthers.
In the past four game Stacy has received double digit carries and he had a season high 18 two weeks ago and now he is coming off of a 17 carry, 53 yard game against the Panthers. He had over 80 yards total last week and now comes into the game with over 200 rushing yards and the bulk of that has been in the past three weeks. While the Seahawks have a top five rush defense, Stacy is a solid starting option and he could at least put up some decent points on MNF.
Russell Wilson has been having a very solid season and last week he had three touchdowns and zero picks and now he has thrown only one in the past three weeks with five TDs and against the Rams he could be ready for another big game. The team is banged up and reeling from losing Sam Bradford and that makes the team a very solid option to play against for Wilson. Marshawn Lynch is once again one of the leading rushers in the league and he now has four scores in his past four games, including three in the last two and he is a START on Monday.
Lynch has been excellent this season rushing the ball and he had 91 yards last week and that came a week after he had over 140 total yards against the Titans. Lynch should have another solid day on Monday night and he could be the top points producer in the game. Golden Tate, Jared Cook and Steven Hauschka are all good plays as well, especially the kicker, as the Seahawks could score in bunches.
