Seattle Seahawks Schedule Monday Night Football: TV Channel and Start Time On ESPN Kick Off At 8:30 PM Against St. Louis Rams

Oct 28, 2013 04:57 PM EDT

The Monday Night Football matchup for Week 8 has an added element for when the Seattle Seahawks travel to St. Louis to play the Rams at the Edward Jones Dome at 8:30 pm on ESPN, as the Cardinals and Red Sox will play the World Series down the road at Busch Stadium.

The Seahawks come into the game hot, having lost only once this season and they are catching their NFC west division opponent at the right time, as quarterback Sam Bradford is out for the season and the team does not have much fight in them left. The Rams were already one of the worst rushing teams in the NFL this season before losing Bradford and now they will have to rely on that even more as they have a new quarterback in the game for them. The team will start the game against the Seahawks soon after the World Series starts and kickoff will be at around 8:30 pm and Jon Gruden and Mike Tirico will be in the booth to broadcast the game on Monday.

The Seahawks come into the game as one of the most consistent teams in the NFL and they are currently ranked in the top five in rushing and in the top 10 in both passing yards and rushing yards allowed per game and that is a recipe for a championship run for Pete Carroll and company have that look right now. The team will improve to 7-1 with a win and the San Francisco 49ers are hoping for an upset, as they are coming off of a win as well and now have won a bunch in a row and are hoping to gain a game in the division.

The Seahawks are playing very well since losing to the Colts and while it has been against so-so teams, the Titans and the Cardinals have had some solid moments this season. The loss of Bradford totally changes the complexion of the Rams and the complexion of the game on Monday, as Seattle should be able to walk over the team in the Dome. The Seahawks have a tough schedule to finish the season and the play of Russell Wilson and the offense must remain consistent and the health of Marshawn Lynch will also be a huge factor going forward.

The Seahawks opened the year with a win over the Panthers are then jumped to 4-0 for the first time in team history and then they lost to the Colts, but now they have won two straight and have the chance for another solid run. The team plays against the Rams on Monday night to end a stretch of five weeks with four road games and after playing the Bucs at home the team travels to play the Falcons in Atlanta and after that they head back for the Vikings.

The team opens up out of the bye week with another Monday night football matchup, but this time they will be at home and it's against one of the best teams in the New Orleans Saints. The team then plays against the San Francisco 49ers and has the Giants after that for the dreaded East coast game. The team finishes the season with St. Louis and Arizona and in Week 8 they will play the Rams on Monday night at the Edward Jones Dome.
