We'll give you the link right away, that is what everybody wants. What else is there to say about this World Series? The media everywhere has exacerbated the Cardinals' fan base with talks of the way Game 4 ended. They have exhausted how well David Ortiz has been hitting and how clutch Jonny Gomes was in the Red Sox's Game 4 victory.
What else it there to say?
Overall, it means this World Series has been great. It has been full of drama as the Red Sox and Cardinals have close and dramatic ball games. Dismissing Game 1, which the Red Sox won easily, 8-1, the rest of the games have been decided by two runs or less. In the last three games, the Cardinals have outscored the Red Sox 11-10.
What else are they not covering?
Ah, yes! The players that are NOT coming through for their team. Sorry, David Freese's 2011 heroics should remain a thing of the past. It is great to acknowledge that the mad had a magicaly postseason, helping the Cardinals win their last championship, but the third baseman has not done diddly in the 2013 World Series. He is 1-12 with a .083 batting average through the first four games of the series and he has an error.
Going out quietly after exploding on to the 2013 playoff scene for the Red Sox; Jacoby Ellsbury. Guess who leads the Red Sox in batting average, on-base percentage and runs scored? Big Papi. Ellsbury has 3 hits in 16 at-bats this postseason, hitting .188 through the first four games. The Red Sox need a table setter and a man who can cause ruckus on the base pads. Ortiz needs help and it makes sense that Gomes is such a hero because he provided the thunder behind the hottest hitter on the planet.
Can any of these guys pick it up for their squads? If they do, they can be the heroes and help their teams take the series lead.
