The Seattle Seahawks are coming into their Monday night football matchup in Week 8 against the St. Louis Rams after winning two straight games and the matchup at the Edward Jones Dome will be between two NFC West rivals and will kickoff at 8:30 pm live on ESPN and streaming live on ESPN Radio and Watch ESPN online.
The Seahawks are playing some of their best football right now and they are ranked in the top 10 this season in both offense and defense, with the defensive unit coming in ranked in the top five in passing yards allowed per game and they are anchored by cornerback Richard Sherman. The team is ranked seventh in rushing yards per game and with the fact that the Rams no longer have Sam Bradford, the Seahawks are looking like the easy favorites and they will come in as the favored team and Russell Wilson should be expecting some solid production. The Seahawks started off the season 4-0 before losing to the Colts and now they will play their first game against the Rams and while Percy Harvin will not be playing, Golden Tate will be and he should be considered the top wideout option in the game for fantasy owners.

The Seahawks have been very impressive rushing the ball and they rank first in the NFL in yards per game behind Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson and they right now have the edge in the West division after already defeating the 49ers, although another matchup looms between the two teams. Wilson is leading the team with 1,489 yards and 11 touchdowns and while it's never good to have your QB as the second leading rusher, the Hawks have made it work like clockwork and he is second behind Lynch with 323 yards this season while averaging over five yards per carry. The offense has moved along swiftly without Percy Harvin in the lineup and once he returns, things could get even more explosive.
Last week the team was out passed, but Lynch led the game in rushing and Golden Tate was tops in receiving yards and now the two come in as leaders for the Hawks on Monday night. Tate has stepped up this season with 27 catches with 346 yards, while Lynch has been fantastic again with nearly 600 yards rushing already and six touchdowns. The Seahawks were a Super Bowl pick earlier in the season and they should have no trouble with the Rams, who have no rushing game to speak of and just lost their starting quarterback for the entire season. The Rams did not lose to the 49ers last season, but now they are in a tough spot and this will be the first time they play the Seahawks before Week 17 later in the season.
The Seahawks opened with four solid wins, including an overtime thriller against the Texans and now they have won two over the Titans and Cardinals and this game finishes a stretch of four road games in five weeks for Seattle. The team now starts two in three weeks with the Rams and Falcons, while they will play the Vikings in the middle. The toughest stretch is out of the bye, as they play the New Orleans saints on Monday night football and then they have a road game against the San Francisco 49ers before an east coast trip to the Giants. The team finishes with the Cards and Rams and on Monday night they will play the Rams at the Edward Jones Dome on ESPN at 8:30 pm.
