NBA Season Openers TV Schedule 2013: Channel and Start Times As Friday Games Continue

Oct 30, 2013 09:24 AM EDT

The NBA season got off to a fast start with the Indiana Pacers, Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers winning on opening night and now the rest of the NBA gets its chance to open up as well and some teams in action includes the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Houston Rockets and Brooklyn Nets.

The Nets will be playing the Cavaliers and that game will be on locally on YES and Fox Sports Ohio and the game will also be broadcast nationally on NBA TV starting up later in the day at 7 pm. The Brooklyn Nets are coming into the season with high expectations after making the Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce deal and the Cavaliers are thrilled with the way Kyrie Irving is developing and after adding Andre Bynum the team feels that it can at least compete for a playoff spot this year.

The Miami Heat opened with a nice win against the Bulls that was led by LeBron James with 17 points and the game against Philadelphia on Wednesday will be on SUN and Comcast SportsNet in Philly and that game should be pretty one sided. The Heat came into the opening game knowing that the Bulls would be looking to get a strong win to open the season and they started their title defense the right way with the win to start off 1-0. The Heat likely won't face much competition from the 76ers playoff wise, but getting the game against the Bulls was an important way to start.

The Boston Celtics and the Toronto Raptors are playing Wednesday and that will be on CSNN in Boston and the Washington Wizards game and the Detroit Pistons its two teams looking to improve as well with each making moves this offseason. The Wiz added Marcin Gortat while the Pistons brought in Josh Smith and Brandon Jenning and now each will try to make a run in the east and the game will be on CSNB and Fox Sports Detroit for the Pistons.

The Knicks officially open the Garden on Wednesday against the Milwaukee Bucks and that game will be on TV on MSG in New York and on Fox Sports Wisconsin in Milwaukee. The Bucks made the playoffs as the eighth seed last season and the Knicks are coming in this season looking for success in the postseason. Some of the other games on the schedule includes Indiana and the Pelicans, Memphis and the Spurs as well as the Los Angeles Lakers taking on the Golden State Warriors.
