The NBA season is pretty long and NBA League Pass will give you all sorts of coverage of these games. Unfortunately, unlike TNT, NBA TV, who will be airing the game, does not show the game online for free.

Now for the game. Jason Kidd will make his official debut as an NBA coach. The point guard, who is a guaranteed future Hall of Famer, helped the New York Knicks make the postseason last year. Now, he returns to the NBA as a coach, across the river in Brooklyn attempting to lead the Nets to a championship.

According to NBA.com, Owner Mikhail Prokhrov's plans were to win a championship within five years after buying the team. That explains why he spent so much money retaining stars like Brook Lopez, feverishly going after other superstars like Joe Johnson and Deron Williams via the trade market. The Nets went ahead and added Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, who are no longer superstars, but they are savvy, experienced stars in their own way.

They face a young Cavalier team that will only get better. Aside from Kyrie Irving, the Cavs have Dion Walters and Anthony Bennett. Anderson Varejao is the team's veteran and he is scrappy as always.

The Nets will have to be careful with him after he will not back down from any matchup. This should be an exciting season opener for both teams as the Nets look to make a playoff run and the Cavs will strut their young lineup.
