The Rockets play in the toughest division the the west with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Memphis Grizzlies and San Antonio Spurs and this season they could end up winning it after ending up as the eighth seed in the playoffs last season.
The team lost to the OKC Thunder in six games and now they should be one of the top seeds in the west, although they will have plenty of other teams to deal with, as the conference is much deeper than the east is. The Rockets have all the teams in their division with the Thunder, Grizzlies and Spurs and they also have to deal with the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers as well as the Golden State Warriors, who could be one of the best teams in the NBA after having a great run last season defeating the Denver Nuggets in the playoffs and taking the Spurs to six games before losing.
