Rory McIlroy and Caroline Wozniacki are one of the biggest couples in sports and after rumors came out about the two breaking up, there has been no confirmation and they could actually still be together and amid all that, the golfer came out to defend fellow player Tiger Woods over controversial cheating comments made by Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee.
According to ESPN.com, McIlroy made the comments in China as he is preparing for the WGC-HSBC Champions in Shanghai, saying that he felt the analyst was off base with his comments and that he was "completely wrong" about what he said regarding Woods and his rule violations from the year.

The Daily Telegraph has reported that Wozniacki and McIlroy ended their relationship and while those rumors have surfaced in the future, this time they seem a bit more concrete than previous ones. ESPN.com cited the Telegraph report and wrote that Wozniacki was reported to be "devastated", although she also denied the reports in a Danish newspaper. McIlroy has had a very tough season while relinquishing the number one ranking to Tiger Woods while going winless on tour and now he has to find a way to straighten his game out.
McIlroy has been under the microscope for his relationship with Wozniacki and he also made a high profile move to Nike to use their equipment and that did not work out as planned. Last year he was number one and won a major and now he is preparing to play in South Korea in the Kolon Korean Open in Seoul and that could help him end the year on a better note. McIlroy is playing through the end of the year with the BMW Masters and he also previously planned a one-day event with Tiger Woods in China.
According to ESPN.com, McIlroy will be playing in the HSBC Champions after that and he also has a European Tour event in Dubai. Tiger Woods and McIlroy started the year missing the cut in the same tournament and then Woods went on to win more than anyone else on tour en route to winning player of the year and his number one ranking, while McIlroy had a very tough go of it.
