The Washington Redskins host the San Diego Chargers in Week 9 of the NFL 2013 season. Check out the live stream, free online, at 1 p.m. ET as both teams try to remain in the race in their respective divisions.
The Chargers have had a revitalized season. With Ryan Matthews in the backfield and Philip Rivers back to his A-Game, the Chargers are winning big games and remaining relevant in the AFC West. Matthews has almost 500 rushing yards on 110 carries this season and Danny Woodhead is also making a new for himself in San Diego's backfield. Rivers has thrown for 2,132 yards with 15 touchdowns and only five interceptions. He is accurate, completing almost 74 percent of his passes and as a result, the Chargers are 4-3 in 2013.
The Redskins are struggling. It is obvious, if Robert Griffin III is not 100 percent, the team will not win. He is down as "Probable" in this Week 9's Injury Report due to his knee, but probable might be good enough to get RG3 on the field. Though the Redskins are 2-5 in 2013, they are only half a game behind second place in the NFC East and just 2.5 games behind the first place Dallas Cowboys. The division is tight and has been very disappointing so far in 2013.
RG3, Alfred Morris and Pierre Garcon are the battery of the Redskins' offense. Griffin and Morris have combined for over 800 rushing yards, while Garcon has 47 catches with 512 receiving yards. However, the Redskins have had trouble scoring. Morris has four rushing touchdowns, while Garcon has caught only two of RG3's nine touchdown receptions this season.
