The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are playing on Monday night football in Week 10 and one player that fantasy football owners need to keep an eye on is Doug Martin, as he has a shoulder injury and couple be placed on the season ending IR before the matchup, making players like Mike James, Andre Brown, Donald Brown and Andre Ellington solid pickups for this week.
Martin has been a solid option after busting out as a rookie last season and with him out, James has been very solid. Mike James has been one of the best sleepers and running back pickups the past few weeks, as he has stepped in nicely for the Buccaneers since Doug Martin went down and now he could be the starter for the rest of the season if he can't come back from his shoulder injury. The Buccaneers are terrible but they are playing the embarrassment that are the Miami Dolphins on Monday night football so they could pull off their first win of the season and either way, James is likely to play a big part.
The Buccaneers are 0-8 and are being cautious with their franchise back so not to get him even more seriously injured while playing during a pointless season. Martin and the medical staff will take a look at things, but it's more than likely he will get shut down this season, making James a primary starter going forward. The Buccaneers have been terrible, but they face a Dolphins team going through a tough stretch and that could be enough for the team to get its first win of the year. The team is ranked 18th in rushing and 31st in passing and with Mike Glennon at quarterback, it's very likely that James will continue to get plenty of touches.
James is coming off of his best game of the season with 158 yards on the ground and he finished the game with 30 touches on the day after making two catches and he is facing a Dolphins team that is a mess right now. The team has given up the third worst amount of points to running backs on their end, so James has a good matchup and Greg Schiano has liked the way he has performance and his speed has been an asset. Over the past three weeks he has over 200 yards and this season he has rushed for 254 yards, making him a nice backup and handcuff option for a number of owners. James has a solid 45 yards after coming in for Martin and in his first start he had 39 yards, but has shown that he can bounce back after the 150 yard performance.
Donald Brown has been very solid this season and he is a good pickup option moving forward with Trent Richardson banged up, as he is over six yards per carry this season with 244 yards. Last week he was solid with 49 yards and with the team playing against the St. Louis Rams, he could be in for another solid game.
Andre Brown is returning from injury and is playing against a Raiders team that was just demolished by the Eagles. The game is at home and he should be energized, especially with David Wilson going on the IR most likely.
